Tonight’s challenge was really hard for me- suppose that’s why they call it a challenge! 
I had so many ideas, it was hard to focus in on just one. Finally I just went for simple. I like that it gets my creative juices flowing- I made some great cards last week, thanks to my post challenge mojo. I will share those soon. Thanks for visiting!

At 2:03 this morning, my newest nephew entered the world. Weighing in at 7lbs, 1 oz, and 21.25″ long, I am pleased to present, Lincoln Miles.

Hello! I’m Melodie’s guest blogger, Brandi White. I’m so excited to have entered my very first color challenge tonight along with Melodie. This was a simple card using the flower image of Stampin’ Up’s Kind Thoughs stamp set. The color combination was fun to work with…can’t wait to see the next challenge. Thanks for looking!
The rush was on to get this card done! My friend Brandi, a fellow stamper, is in town for the weekend. After a late night, some early afternoon shopping and dinner, we busted it to get our cards created, photographed and posted for Kwerner’s 37th color challenge.
All items used are SU! Card stock is Baja Breeze (all time favorite color EVER!) I created my own patterned paper on Whisper White using Old Olive, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip & Pumpkin Pie inks on stamps from Carte Postale (favorite stamp set, EVER!).
Now that the holiday season has officially come to a close, I am dreaming of the years to come, as well as reminiscing about years gone by. The predominant theme for these musings is this -relationships. They grow us, challenge us, infuriate and encourage us. The best and worst of my every memory is wrapped up in the happy hugs, as well as the bumps and bruises of dealing with people.
This card was made about a year ago for my coffee loving team leader at work. All supplies are SU! with the exception of the white Liquid Appliqué, used for whipped cream, which I think I picked up at a garage sale. The heart is cut out and secured with a dimensional and this was one of the first cards to begin my love affair with the ticket corner punch, which now adorns 95% of the cards I make. (obsess much?)
I have chosen the word “challenge” to be my Word of the Year for 2009. I want to push past the edges of my physical, emotional, spiritual, social, intellectual, & creative boundaries. So to start the year off right, I finally accepted a color challenge posted by Kristina Werner. In doing so, I also met the challenge to use some more patterned paper (out of an awesome bag of scraps my friend Brandi gave me) and start on my Valentine’s Day cards much earlier this year. This card is much prettier in person. I am sure my pics will improve over time. Stamped image is SU!.
